Description:History : The Library began on April 1, 1961, in a borrowed 12 x 12 frame building. In September of 1960, Latane' Temple, then Vice President of Southern Pine Lumber Co., (now Temple Inland forest Products) secured the small building from the Company, and it was set up in an area just off the Village Square.
